Cheryl launched Social Capital Corporation to invest in the leaders of tomorrow.
As a First Gen college student, Cheryl remembers what it felt like to need a $200 textbook when she didn't have $5 to her name.
That's what motivated her to pay it forward and help others gain the knowledge, skills, and social capital needed to cross the bridge to financial independence and security.
Prior to founding SCC, Cheryl served as Associate Professor of Business at MiraCosta College, and Director of Regional Sales for United Airlines, leading a team responsible for $500 million in sales to global Fortune 500 companies.
Cheryl started her career in healthcare business development, and has been a multi-unit franchisee for Cold Stone Creamery. She is a graduate of the University of Southern California (BA) and Pepperdine University (MBA).
Prosperity is best achieved in an inclusive society. The emphasis placed by more and more companies on corporate social responsibility symbolizes that recognition. Social Capital Corporation serves to amplify and accelerate that work through the creation of capital and removing barriers to entry for greater market participation from underserved communities.
We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to benefit from market participation and wealth creation and that the zip code you're born into shouldn't limit your future opportunities.
